BARTHA ZOLTAN Artist statement

Art is a parallel dimension for me. Art is a gateway to another reality.

It calms and enlightens my consciousness that our forebears invested
a lot of time and energy in committing to create mythology, fantasy, and fairy tales,
and leaving a testament– something we can rely on, learn about, and be inspired by.

I am very grateful that our ancestors opened this portal for us.
It would be terrifying to imagine our world without it.

_but_

If I perceive reality with pure raw common sense,
it arouses quite unpleasant, disturbing feelings in my soul.

I am always happy to wander into this world,
hand in hand with my muses, singing cheerful songs,
dancing, marveling, and listening to their stories.

I have always booked appointments in this Realm.

The problem with the fantasy dimension
is that you have to come back to reality
to put your thoughts into physical form.

Because if you don’t, then it will fade away or sail away.

And this part of my life,

of my existence, that I truly enjoy,

justifies my existence.
